All data is stored within the EU at data centers that have achieved ISO 27001, one of the most widely recognized and accepted independent security standards. In addition, all subcontractors used by Kindly are Privacy Shield certified.

The databases for platform content and chat message use point-in-time-recovery backup (PITR). This means that the databases are continuously backed up every few seconds, and if a crisis occurs they can be rolled back to a selected previous point in time.
